The Gothic Quarter tour

This tour offers an immersion into Roman Barcino -the former Barcelona- of the Augustan era, and into the medieval city that has endured to this day as a center of political and institutional life. The route winds through the key points that shaped the medieval urban fabric, connecting the historic neighborhoods of the city’s oldest quarter.

Landmark buildings such as Santa Maria del Pi Church, Santa Anna Church, the Cathedral, and the Royal Palace; emblematic squares and streets like Sant Felip Neri, the Royal Square, and the ever-lively Rambla; and neighborhoods as distinctive as the Jewish Quarter all converge to create a remarkable landscape, rich in architecture, history, and meaning.
